Istanbul Eats’ First Photo Competition

We are happy to announce the start of our first ever photography competition. Open to all, the contest’s first prize is lunch at one of the restaurants reviewed on our site (winner’s choice).

Subject: “Istanbul Food Culture”
Deadline: October 31, 2009 (Note: Due to popular demand, we’ve extended the deadline to Nov. 15!)
How? First sign up for our monthly newsletter (“Join our Mailing List” is the blue box in the top right of the screen). Once you’ve done that you can join us at our Facebook page and post your photo there. If you don’t have a facebook account, then please feel free to email it through to us at istanbuleats@gmail.com (but please only if you don’t have a facebook account).
Result: Aside from a great meal for the winner, the top three photographs will be featured as part of Istanbul Eats’ “Street (food) Photography” series.

  We've previously sung the praises of Kasap Osman, a standby doner spot in the increasingly touristed Sirkeci neighborhood, but we've been getting unsettling reports from reliable sources that things might be slipping over there.
