Back from the Hack

Those who tried to visit this site yesterday might have noticed some strange things going on. Turns out we had been hacked. Visitors (PC users only, it seems) were being redirected to a particularly malicious site that could possibly infect their computer with a virus.

It appears that the problem started with a hack into the database of our hosting service — make that our previous hosting service. We have switched hosts and had our technician go through Istanbul Eats with a fine-tooth comb and clean everything up.

We apologize profusely to anyone who encountered any problems due to a visit to our site in the previous days. We also strongly suggest that you run a virus scan on your computer just to be safe.

Now, back to our previously scheduled eating.
