I wish I had the same pleasant experience like all you, guys. I wanted to try Eski Kafa for a very long time and when I and my husband happened to be in the neighbourhood we just couldn't resist sitting over a cup of tea. So, thinking of may be sharing a desert, we asked for the menu. The answer was that they don't have one yet and the bitter surprise was when we paid 2.5 turkish lira for a glas of ordinary, ordinary tea...the one you find in different qualities and prices but still...it just doest't feel right.

Good call on the cay, Katie. I had a mixed herbal tea there that looked like a salad in a tea glass. They even serve all-natural apple tea, not that Tang-looking stuff the rug dealers push down in Sultanahmet.

Though I did not find the food amazing on my visit there last March, I quite liked the atmosphere. I hope the food has improved. The zencefil çayı (ginger tea) is incredible and served with wonderful organic honey.
