I went there 2 days ago.
Simply superb Adana. Paper-thin, translucent pide bread : it takes a lot of restraint, of which I have none, to stop eating that pide and focus on the meat. Perfect dose of sumac in the onions. A very, very tasty meal. I found the price (15 TL for the Adana) reasonable in view of the quality. And I can vouch for the hygiene of the place : when I got there at 11:50 AM, they were using massive amounts of bleach on the floor. You may want to arrive just a few minutes later to let the fumes dissipate.

The next day, I went to another place a few streets up, highly recommended though not by this website : Yusuf Usta’nın Yeri. Had an Adana there, too. The contrast was comical : disgusting taste of fat (I like fat, but this wasn't good fat), no meat taste, bread tougher than my shoes. And a very, very dirty tablecloth, which the waiter made a show of scraping, thus removing neither the cigarette ashes nor the grease stains. I should know better, but I ate the thing, and got sick to my stomach for the very first time in Istanbul.

Adana Öz-Asmaalti is literally around the corner from the Bostanci train station, maybe 15 mn from Haydarpasa. Definitely worth the trip. Thank you, Istanbul Eats !

sounds good, it is very hard to find a good (Adana) kebab in Istanbul. Of course any self respecting Adanali would never have one outside of Adana.
