Did they just give up the fight against the brutal gentrification of the Asmali area and decided to go with the flow and become a part of all that instead? Looks so from the pictures on their Facebookgroup. I will surely miss sitting on those small chairs on that asmalimescit streetcorner every time on the first night of my trips to Istanbul for many years. The food was very good and I will go back. But I was a little surprised to pay 20TL for 1 order of ciger and a coke. Maybe they charge separately for the greens and so dining alone ends up being expensive? Or maybe it's the Asmali Mescit location pricing.
